THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
HAPPINESS UNLTD is a site-specific, immersive performance that unfolds as a pop-up travel agency with references to the 1950s wanderlust, consumerism and penchant for the exotic. On the ground floor, the audience and random passers-by are welcomed by the agency’s travel guide (Tina Andersen), who, with colorful stories and glossy brochures, stimulates the desire to go somewhere else and better. Here you can explore the many free happiness destinations, such as the Wheel of Fortune or the specially designed “Endorphin Accumulator”; you can go on an atmospheric sound journey, board delicious flavor bombs and much more.
Audiences can also choose to take the plunge and buy a ticket to the agency’s Exotica Exclusive group tours, which take place on the basement level. Here you get a 45-minute specially-guided tour with the agency’s three happiness specialists; from Quiet Village (an acidic meditation trip with Lisbeth Sonne Andersen) via Ports of Pleasure (a sensual storytelling session with chocolate guru Helene Kvint) to Forbidden Island (a sophisticated monkey party with the Sun King), before you crash-land again in the office upstairs.
